Licensed Real Estate Salesperson

I grew up in upstate New York, on the St. Lawrence River in Ogdensburg.  Growing up, my parents owned several rental properties and as a young girl they would drag me to their properties to help out with cleaning and repairs.  Little did I know at the time, that this would be the start of my real estate career!   I graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and then attended Plattsburgh University where I majored in Business Management/Accounting. After graduation from Plattsburgh, I had a short career managing a convenient store.  This provided me my first taste of sales and managing employees. I entered service with the Division of State Police in 1992.  I had a fulfilling 26-year career, retiring as the Station Commander of SP Thruway Albany. As the Station Commander, I was responsible for supervising 30 troopers and supervisors, as well as managing the daily activities of one of the busiest stations in the Troop.  This position required an ability to effectively communicate with people, oftentimes when people were involved with very difficult situations.

During the past 28 years, I have purchased my parent’s portfolio in Ogdensburg, purchased several additional rental properties in Albany, Cohoes, Troy and Brunswick and began renovating and selling properties in the Capital District.  Much like my mother, I dragged my husband into the real estate world, where we have been involved in both rentals and renovations.

After retirement, I was looking for my next challenge. I had been involved with the sales of our renovated properties and enjoyed the experience.  Real estate has been my passion since Ogdensburg and was a natural extension from what I had already been involved with for the past 28 years.

I currently reside in Brunswick with my husband, Mark and my daughter Lexah, who is attending Syracuse University.  We have three sons, Joshua, Christopher and Ryan, who we have helped find, purchase and renovate their current homes. Helping our children locate their homes and assisting them through the sales process made me realize how important it is to have someone with knowledge to guide you through one of the biggest purchases of your life.  Last year we purchased a house on Kinderhook Lake that needs a complete renovation.  I have dreamed of having a property on the water and I look forward to helping people find their dream home.

I am very excited to be working with Kellie and our great team of agents at Kellie Kieley Realty!!
